welcome! Abande-ortho

Abande is a new abstract board game for two players invented in summer 2005 and is the second game of my "Stacking Game Trilogy". The first entry of this project, Accasta, was published in 1998, and the final game, Attangle in 2006, just recently.

Abande can be played on a hexagonal board with 37 spaces or a 7 × 7 orthogonal board, and 36 (2 × 18) stackable pieces in two different colors for each of the players. You attempt to get the highest score by entering new pieces on the board or capturing your opponent's pieces.

Abande-hexa The main tactical concept of Abande is the "band", i.e. the requirement to always keep all the pieces on board connected.

If you are interested in Abande read the rules, give it a try and let me know what you think about it. I'd be pleased to get some feedback.

Thank you for your interest and happy gaming!
